MonetaGo opens Singapore office and strengthens APAC team with key executive hire

Former TP ICAP executive Neil Shonhard has joined MonetaGo to lead the firm’s Singapore office. He brings a wealth of experience and connectivity with the financial services community from an extensive career including key roles at TP ICAP, Tradition and Nittan Securities.

The opening of MonetaGo’s Singapore office signals the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting its customers and partners in the region as the firm expands its offering and reach. MonetaGo works with partners to create proprietary solutions that harness best-in-class technology including R3's Corda, the financial industry’s leading enterprise distributed ledger protocol.

Solutions are regulator and user-friendly, compliant with current regulations, and ready to easily deploy in heavily regulated environments either through the web or host-to-host API with platforms specifically designed to easily integrate with existing systems.

The company is initially focused on three workstreams – Secure Financing, helping businesses mitigate risk, increase capital efficiency and make capital more accessible, Corporate Issuance to digitize the entire issuance process and Digital Workflows, allowing businesses to complete and verify secure document exchanges in a matter of minutes, rather than days.

Jesse Chenard, CEO, MonetaGo said: “This is a landmark in the development of the firm as we build out our services in the region. We welcome Neil who brings us a fantastic range of expertise and connectivity across the region and will lead our team there as we respond to the needs of our customers.”

Neil Shonhard said: “I am delighted to be joining MonetaGo at this critical time as we deliver the next generation of platforms to digitise and enhance financial workflows. I will be working with the team to deliver best in class technology to accelerate client growth, increase market efficiency, and reduce risk .”
